This beginners pottery course has been designed for anyone that is interested in working in clay for the first time. During the weekend you will have a chance to explore different clays, make small hand-built pieces and throw on the wheel. You will have the chance to complete your pots and decorate them with slips or choose from our in house glazes. Your work will then be dried, fired and glazed after the course and can either be collected or couriered to you.

The making too of course, experimenting and learning, handbuilding and throwing, and the excitement of seeing how each piece turns out as it emerges pinging from the kiln. I enjoy taking my creations out into the countryside too, letting them find their place and sharing the results on Instagram. But most of all I love helping others to follow their imagination and to develop their practice. Magical things happen when people lose themselves in clay, and it’s a joy to be present when they do.”

RESIDENTIAL/NON RESIDENTIAL: Both options available. Residential option includes all accommodation & food from Thursday evening through Sunday lunch. Can’t afford residential? Got a camper van? You’re welcome to park your an in the car park and stay in your van, just book in as a non-resident.
SCHEDULE: Thursday residents arrival between 5pm-7.00pm > Drinks and dinner from 7pm open to all participants / Friday & Saturday - Tuition 9.30am-5.00pm / Sunday - Tuition 9.,30am-1pm

All pottery tools and equipment will be provided. Please bring an apron, pencil/pen and a sketchbook.
The total price for this residential course is £600 + VAT (£720) including food, accommodation and your tuition.
