This is a pottery taster session for anyone that wants to have a go at working in clay and/or the experience of working in the pottery at Coombe. During the 2.5hr session you will have the chance to do some simple handbuilding (including make a small tile and use a press mould to make a small bowl) and have a go at throwing on the wheel.

Essentially its a chance to explore a few things with clay and to have some fun.

Who teaches the class?

The session will be tutored by our regular weekly class teacher Verran Townsend.

How many people will be in the class?

The class will run with a maximum of 8 people.

Where does it take place?

At Coombe in our pottery studio. We are located down the lanes between Totnes and Dartmouth, in Devon.

Can I keep what I make?

If you decide you would like to keep anything you have made you will have the chance to decide how you would like us to glaze it for you and we will then glaze and fire it for you. It can then be collected from the studio or posted to you at standard postage & packaging charges.
