Sarah Bee moved from working as a graphic designer into makeup and body painting for the film, photography and advertising industries. Later she studied watercolour at The Heatherley School of Fine Art in London and began to develop her individual style after she was introduced to pastels whilst painting with the Blockley Group. 

Whilst her methods and techniques are constantly evolving, Sarah’s work is always inspired by, and an interpretation of, colour, texture and light. Working on mount board Sarah builds layers of Gesso, acrylic paint and chalk pastel to achieve a lively and textured image of the landscape. A member of the Pastel Society, Sarah exhibits regularly at the Mall Gallery and has received several awards including the 2023 Mamut Pastel Award. She has completed corporate commissions and has her work in private collections in the UK and in Europe.
