Sarah Bee is a member of The Pastel Society and part of the Federation of British Artists. The recipient of several Awards, she has work in private collections worldwide.
This four day course will introduce you to Sarah’s lively approach to landscape painting using soft pastel as the primary medium with mixed media.
Through demonstration and individual guidance we will discover the limitless opportunities of interpretational use of colour and mark making.
We will begin by sketching and gathering information in the beautiful Devon landscape, before returning to use this to produce exciting paintings in the studio at Coombe.
All work is made on mount board using acrylic paint, gesso, and soft pastel. Sarah is on hand throughout to guide your understanding of non- representational colour and layered painting.
If you are an experienced artist, some or all of the processes will happily blend into your own methods.
Equally, as a beginner, there is so much to be gained.
